Service Description

TABLE THAI 1.0 will share how to provide a highly effective one hour Thai Massage UP on the massage table as Thai Massage is traditionally shared on a mat at ground level. This 16 hr course will share how to give a highly effective 60 minute Thai Massage on the massage table in both prone & supine positions. You'll learn touch techniques & moves that ensure your safety, and that of your client, as you maneuver around and share the table space. This course is a companion course with 'Table Thai 2.0: Seated & Side Lying' therefore these two courses can be taken out of order. NEXT TRAINING RUNNING: Table Thai 1.0 Sat Feb 10 & Sun Feb 11, 2024 $360 +hst _____________________________________________ Two Streams for Table Thai Massage training: 1) Table Thai CONTINUING EDUCATION Series (1.0, 2.0 + 3.0) is appropriate for massage therapists/RMT's, Thai Massage practitioners and bodyworkers ALREADY TRAINED in traditional mat-based Thai Massage and are looking to lift their practice up off the floor for any reason. Especially good for clients who are unable or struggle to get to the floor for traditional Thai Massage and is also a way to deliver an amazing Thai Massage if the practitioner is managing lower extremity discomfort or wear & tear (ankles, knees, hips) and needs to change up their movement patterns. - OR - 2) Table Thai CERTIFICATION Series (1.0 + 2.0 + 3.0 ) ideal for RMT's and bodyworkers who have NO previous experience with Thai Massage. This series is designed for those who desire to increase service offerings plus learn how to move and utilize the body in new ways that can increase career longevity. The certification series is valuable if you plan to offer Table Thai Massage and don't have plans to attend the Thai Massage Mat Essentials trainings. The in-person course offerings are the same as the Continuing Education stream yet the CERTIFICATION stream requires all three steps below to be completed: 1) Contact Component = Attendance in Table Thai 1.0, Table Thai 2.0 & Table Thai 3.0 = 47 hours 2) Practicum Component= 10 documented massages for each course = 30 hours 3) Completion of ONE 3 hour 1:1 supervision (at an additional cost) is required with the lead teacher AFTER attendance in all 3 courses is complete. It is recommended this supervision take place after a majority of the documented massages have been completed. So, if all three steps are completed, certification = 80 hours in total.
